Financing Round

A financing round is an event wherein a company receives capital in exchange for equity or in the form of debt. When raising equity financing, this can happen in a number of rounds and typically has a standard naming convention. Each round is labeled with a letter from the alphabet, starting with A and incrementing up from there. (e.g. A financing, B financing, etc.)
